Save your current game under a new name ('Save as new game' option), then move your shop and see if it loses the stars. If it does, go back to your original game. It's the fastest way to test before making a move.

I managed to figure it out! i basically copied the shop onto another lot and then saved the new lot as my "Assigned Lot". Only thing is is that now my sim owns 4 lots 😔... ( His roomate owns a bakery and then there's their main house that for some reason the game thinks its also a business lot). Thank you for your help!

  • This may seem like a rather pedantic approach, but have you considered building up and down on the lot you're on?  You could add a basement, for one, then if you needed more space, add a second floor. Staircases can be used on the outside, so the clients/patrons wouldn't have to go through the main floor to access what's upstairs. Just a though, especially, if moving your lot causes you to lose those precious points.
