i think my saves are corrupted due to recent update

So since the recent update, i'm unable to access certain households in game. I do play with mods and cc but when I've taken them out of my game, i'm faced with the same issue of a continuous loading ...

Have you deleted the cache files after removing your mods folder, especially the localthumbcache.package?

    i tried this today and there was no change ☹️, i'm currently reinstalling the game to see if that helps!!
