Infants: Sim keeps snuggling/comforting infant outside regardless of weather

Anyone else experiencing this very annoying problem: When I give my sim the "Snuggle/Comfort etc" order, they keep carrying the infant outside and sitting on the edge of the pool (no matter what the weather). The infant starts crying (too hot/too cold/too wet) and it takes me half an eternity to cancel the task.

Usually the sim then just puts the toddler down outside and goes inside. 😞

I don't understand why this happens. Is there a mod where I can select "prefers taking care of infants inside"? Or something like that? Or is there some other solution? This is driving me a little crazy.
