Install File Location Auto-Changing

Is anyone else having a problem where the game isn’t loading because it’s pulling from the wrong location? I went into my settings in the EA app to manually change it but it never updates the link. I even tried copying the correct folder into the file path it’s pulling from and it creates a folder that doesn’t work :( because of this I haven’t even been able to play! I also tried uninstalling & repairing the game and nothing has worked so far. I noticed this happened after the recent update. Does anyone have any tips/advice/suggestions on how to fix this?

  • Update! I was able to fix this issue (I think) by uninstalling the game for a 3rd time but now I get this error message:

I had gotten this error before my file paths started auto-changing. The EA app had an update and needed to restart but that hasn't fixed the problem.

The "failed to launch game" error with mods or cc present is covered here:

Thank you for this! For some reason, the other times I unistalled and reinstalled it wasn't prompting me to pick a location. I was finally able to and have been able to play but now I am getting a new error message. The game will load into the home screen but will freeze once I'm actually in the game to play. Do you think this is still cc/mod related? I've updated my mods and cc to the most recent ones and this problem seems to be coming out of nowhere. I've attached a screenshot of my game.
