installed packs are deactivated and wont activate

i just installed the new update and when i go into the game it says my packs are disabled so i clicked to re enable them in marketplace and then when the app restarts it still shows deactivated. i to...

could you please try moving the following file to the desktop: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\UserSetting(.ini). Then start the game. The file should be recreated.

will anythng happen to my save and tray files folders if i do that?

  No, but to be sure you can always back up your whole user folder to a flash drive or a different place on your harddrive before doing this.
