Log in Event not even showing

The most recent log in even does not even pop up when opening game, the events tab at the top of the screen also doesn't show most of the time (shown in screenshot), and even when it does it is un-clickable. This routinely happens during events and caused me to miss out on the Christmas one no matter how I tried.

I have tried repairing my game, I have removed all mods/cc, restarting the ea app etc and it still doesn't show. I am so tired of missing out on wanted items due to issues that are not my fault, I wish they would just issue all items from past events in bulk after a certain amount of time has passed to pacify those of us who miss out for these reasons
