RoseQuartz724 The short answer is: it depends. Thousands, maybe millions, of people are still playing the game despite its bugs. The thing is, no computer game, including TS4, these days is 100% bug free, particularly big open-ended games like TS4 that have added dlc packs. And some of those bugs cause things like corrupting saves. That bug happening always has been there from the day the game was released. It can happen to any player at any time. So, you have to decide if the risk of corrupting your save at some point is worth the ongoing entertainment value for you.
I have lost 2 long term saves in the last 3 years due to corruption. But I continue to play because I simply enjoy playing the game. I'm not going to let fear of corrupting a save stop me. Yes, it's a pain when you lose a save that way and it takes a lot of time and effort to salvage what you can and start a new save, but I'd rather do that than not play. So, my advice to you is don't let the fear of losing a save to corruption stop you from playing. Just keep in mind that something can go wrong at any time and be prepared for it eventually happening by having backups of your saves, your sims and lots ready to go if you need them.
Hope this helps.
