sims can be swallowed by the ground
I didnt like my build and my sims were in the basement. they're now stuck, you cant do the click on them to put them into camera focus

try evicting them through the map (lower right corner) and then place them again.
You could also try if clicking M works to travel somewhere. Take the whole household with you.
