Issue with blast from the past event

I started the event today, but my game crashed in-between the first and second quests. I hadn't saved since before I met Emit and now I am still progressed in the quests but I don't know Emit and he is not at the park (I don't know if that's universal but that is where I am being told to find him).

I don't have the interaction to invite him over on my phone either and he's not in manage households. 

I tried recovering older saves and starting new saves, but had the same issue where I cannot replay the last parts of the event to get Emit to show up for the first time.

    I already met him (he did look different) but the game didn't save. i did have MCCC installed at the time. After taking out my mods and waiting for a few hours at the park he did actually show up (still doesn't look like emit though). thanks for your help again

    I'm having the same issue but I can't plan a stay over with Emit, he doesn't show up as an option.

    thank you for the response! unfortunately that didn't work for me. He's not in my relationship panel at all and he doesn't show up when i start through the phone or calendar.

    Is this actually for the first or the second meeting ? Like have you found him at all ? If not, are you using mods/cc, especially MCCC ? There's an issue where Emit looks different with mods in.
