issues with High School

I've tried for a long time to see what the issue is, but I keep getting the same results. Two of the teens from my household got signed up for clubs after school and I noticed they wouldn't go even after telling them to, they got dressed and everything but wouldn't go. the next sim day, they went to school like normal, but I didn't get the option to go with them. I thought this was just a one-time thing, but it kept happening. Also, in the images attached, the two sims with afterschool clubs do attend the school but aren't "colored out"? like the sim in the middle. And when I click to make them study hard, or slack off, etc., it just says to leave early. (For my middle sim she has all those options though.) when they come back from school, as you can also see, the two sims still have icons over them as if they are still at school (I included one of the sims going through this bug in the picture to show that she is back home.)

I don't have any school or special teen mods, and no matter what script mod I've gotten rid of that could potentially be the cause, I still get the same results. I've tried moving them in and out of households but it's all the same. I've never had an issue like this, and during this save I have not added in any extra mods, so I don't know why this started. I assume it may be the clubs I added the girls in, but even after making them quit, I get the same results. (I don't have any afterschool club mods.) please help!
