Photos and paintings flag buildings as CC (or most do, I don't know why they sometimes don't)
That has been called out as by design a long while ago and you can find the thread on that here: [BY DESIGN] Sims' Paintings/Photos Tagged As Custom Content | EA Forums - 8590557
I would say family portraits work the same way. It adds a photo of your family to a building hence it's not game content anymore.
The whole thing does have many flaws, especially since console players can't find these but as of now, I don't think this is a bug either.
Will check in with a CM though.

I gave this a test and it didn't flag for me. Is the Sim wearing CC ?
- BylineBelife3 months agoSeasoned Ace
Yes, she's wearing a cc hair, one of the few cc items in my game.
Edit to add: There was of course no CC in my game while I hunted down the culprit. - crinrict3 months agoHero+
Can you upload the lot to the gallery ?
Did the portrait change when you remove the CC and gave her a different hair ?

No, the portrait still showed Aurora the way she is in the photo, with all CC removed and the localthumbcache deleted.
Just checked, and sadly I deleted the house after I uploaded it with another painting on that wall. - crinrict3 months agoHero+
If you upload a pic of a family with no cc/mods, does it still flag ?

I will test..
First, with the Purdue family by Maxis from the family bin. No CC wrench. Then with one of my families with only CC eyes, and yes the house flags with a wrench.

This is design then. I'm surprised it doesn't flag the pic anyways as photos but maybe they changed it again to just be the following that flags
- Paint by Ref
- Photos of Sims that have CC.

Damned annoying though, so I hope they fix it.

I have a lot which is mostly basegame and few items from three different packs.
When I first built it, I didn’t have any problems saving it to my library.
But after installing mods, I added a decoration box (from Seasons) to the house, and when I went to save it to my library, it showed the blue icon for Custom Content. I couldn’t uncheck the box for modified content because it claims modified content was detected.
I have removed my mods completely, and the issue remains. There is no check-box for modified content, yet it shows the same blue custom content icon.
A different issue that has occurred, both with mods and after removing them, is the lot not saving to the library. I have the tray-files, but it doesn’t show up in the in-game library.
I have repaired the game and replaced the entire Sims 4 folder, and the issue remains.
I didn’t have any problems yesterday. The only change I’ve made is to install mods properly, as I hadn’t allowed for script-mods after the last game update.
