When creating a new sim in CAS, my likes and dislikes panel disappears whenever I try to select my sim's traits. I'm running a vanilla game on a new save file. I have tried repairing my game and deleting the localthumbcache.package file which only made the problem worse somehow.
Yes, that is what was happening. I just did a fresh install of the game, and the issue has resolved itself for now.

what exactly did you do to get the first pic ? Is that by just entering cas to create a new Sim or did you press any buttons ?
I entered CAS after loading into the game through the "Create a Sim " option in "Manage Worlds " on the house I had just built.
Seems fine in my game.
Is this the only way you can make it happen and does it happen with all your Sims ?
My likes and dislikes panel is missing in every attempt to create a new sim. The misalignment UI appeared only once and resolved itself after I exited the game and came back in.
So you can't click on the question mark that's there on your second pic ?
