Life and Death Pack, Cant sit at dinning chairs, desk chairs or couches ?

I downloaded the life and death pack and so far is great ! The only bug im running into is my sims cant sit at their dinning table, desk, or couch the only option is to make these things an heirloom....

Additional issue I have now run into is I cant go to any festivals :( When I arrive at the locatin its empty even though it says the festival is taking place :(
