Missing PC Event Goals - Unable to "Go to Work" to acting job

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.65.70.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Expansions: Discover University, Get Famous, Seasons, Cats & Dogs, Get Together, Get to Work Game Packs: Realm of Magic, Strangerville, Vampires, Dine Out, Spa day, Outdoor Retreat Stuff Packs: Vintage Glamour Stuff, Romantic Garden Stuff, Luxury Party Stuff, Holiday Celebration pack
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Initiate an event
What happens when the bug occurs? Whenever I initiate an event (PC) there are no goals displayed.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see event goals.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Whenever I initiate an event (PC) there are no goals displayed. I understand that NPC Events have no goals, but that's not the case. I've tried a dinner party, a date, and a Meet & Greet. In all cases I have no goals displayed, just the event name and timer.

I am also, strangely, unable to "Go to work" for an acting job.  The button appears, as well as the conversational dialog choice.  But selecting either of them doesn't seem to do anything.  I don't know if they are related or not.

    I had the same problem with goaled events, i had to put back in an old save file & it was working, then after a few more events it started happening again. Loaded back my old save and it was working,then i noticed when i used the non goal dance party event,that's when it stopped having goals in the other events. I have no mods or cc,so it could b a coincidence throwing dance party caused it, or it could b the cause.

    If u used dance party event that could be the problem, maybe deleting localthumbcache.package file might fix the problem or if u have old back ups,maybe it might not have the glitch.

    As for going to work, sorry i don't have an answer for that

    @crinrict I haven't found any box for goaled events. If you could direct me to it I'd be happy to ensure it's ticked. And for the other issue, as best I could tell, it was telling my to repair the installation, which I've done. Still having the same issue however.

    Ha!  I feel like an idiot now.  I guess it's been so long and they randomly became unchecked somehow... thank you for helping me see the blatantly obvious.  :D  Now, to figure out why I can't go to work... that other thread doesn't seem to be much help... or I'm just not seeing it.
