My game is failing me again....
So, about a month ago (I made a post on this a ways back) I couldn't load the gallery, make new sims or save my game at all. The issue has been persisting still, although for some reason the lost legacies quest progress saved, which was a relief. Today, I tried to login after troubleshooting again to fix it
(So far I have tried to delete the thumbcache folder, make a backup file and unistall + reinstall the game, use the repair feature, disable my antivirus software, pause syncing on onedrive, and so on...) and the game keeps saying that it has now run out of memory and cannot start anymore. It crashes when I try to open it. I have ample storage space on my computer, so I know it can't be a lack of storage. I'm getting really frustrated that the game has basically become completely unplayable to me at this point, especially considering that I have spent a significant amount of money on expansion packs and the like. I just want to play the sims, and now I can't anymore because of my game having so many issues! Nothing I do seems to fix it.
Does anyone know how I can get it to work again, and properly load the game without all these issues? And relatedly, If i still am unable to get it to work, is it possible to have the add ons, kits, and expansion packs i've bought over the years refunded (despite how long i've owned them) so i can quit the sims 4 completely and at least get my money back as compensation for the grief it's given me?
Thank you, and please send help and advice. This has been driving me insane for too long.
