My Sim disappeared after the 9/18/24 update. I was playing a scenario.

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.109.185.1230
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expasions, game packs, and stuff packs.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play a scenario, close the game to update it, open the game again.
What happens when the bug occurs? The household you were playing the scenario with has been deleted.
What do you expect to see? I expected to resume playing the scenario.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

I was playing the Making Money scenario before updating my game. When I tried to resume playing with the household I was doing the scenario with, I realized that my sim had been deleted from the save. Unfortunately, I didn't save the household to my library or backed up my files, so my sim and all my progress are gone.
I don’t know what else could be missing, but luckily I was able to retrieve a former version of my save by trying this method user @CGrant56 suggested in another thread:
At the Main Menu, click the Load button and select a save.
Just to the left of the Play and Delete buttons there will be another button and when you mouse over it, it will say Recover. Just click on it and it will give you a list of all the versions of that save. Select one and recover it.
