No option to follow to High School

Ever since the new update, whenever my teens sims go to high school, I no longer have the option to follow them. I don't use CC or mods. I placed a high school from the gallery, so I tried deleting it and replacing it with another HS but I still have the same issue. I used to not be able to go to prom either but after replacing the school my sims finally went to prom. Also my sim family has 3 teens and 2 of my teens will randomly have a day off of school and won't go. When I look in their menu to try to send them to school it literally says "day off!" One of my sims is also on the chess team and can't go to his meets either. I try clicked the button to send him and it doesn't work. Is anyone else having this issue?
