@LlamaMikeYes. I have almost the exact same set up with the exception of the MB. It plays Sims wonderfully. Only time I have issues is when I set the maximum number of sims on lot to 200 via MOD vs the default 15? 20? EA has it set too. With Sim # 60 showing up to the venue... things can get a little glitchy. Frame rate drops down to about 15-20 FPS and the game starts to chug.  Either then that, I love my system. I see your looking at aftermarket cooling for the CPU. The Ryzen 5 runs very hot. Some say its normal, some say not. I don't like the idea of my CPU running 70-85C during game play and looking for better cooling options myself.
