Re: Can't locate Default.ini, GraphicsCards.sgr, and/or GraphicsRules.sgr for Sims 4

@nataliemag  Those files aren't in the ConfigOverrides folder unless you copy them there from elsewhere.  Their original location is inside the game's program files.  In Windows, unless you changed the default install location in Origin, the full file path will be:

Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\bin

I was looking in the wrong pathway for the Origin Games folder. Thanks a bunch!

@puzzlezaddict Can you also post this for Mac? I'm already searching for a while and was so happy I found this post.
    Greetings!
  • @796050  In macOS, Sims 4 can be installed either into the regular Applications folder or the user's Applications folder, so if you don't see it in one, check the other.  The two file paths are:

    Macintosh HD > Applications > The Sims 4.app > Contents > Resources

    Macintosh HD > Users > [your username] > Applications > The Sims 4.app > Contents > Resources

To see the contents of The Sims 4.app, right-click (or hold down crtl and click) and select Show Package Contents.

To access the user's Applications folder, click on Macintosh HD (or whatever you've renamed your hard disk) in the left panel of a Finder window.  If it doesn't show up there, click Finder in the upper left corner of your screen, then Preferences > Sidebar, and check the box next to hard disks.
