I have the exact same confusion. I will ignore the bottom countdown for now and let's see what happens after the countdown in the middle right is down... My event reward started on 13th June, I didn't had the event tile on 30th May (or was it 31st?) like others. 

To me it's highly confusing that the rewards are now for some people earlier than for others and I honestly hope this is just due to testing, so hopefully with the next promotion theme it will be the same experience for every player.
