Re: Origin access premier Sims expansions

"Origin Access Premier is a new membership tier that gives you unlimited access to the latest and greatest EA games before anyone else. Imagine paying one low monthly or annual fee and getting to play new EA PC titles before launch. Not a Play First Trial, you get access to the full game – yours to play whenever you want for as long as you're a Premier member. No gates – no barriers. That’s the Premier experience."

This is what the FAQ states, and it's certainly not at all unlimited access. It's not "no barriers".

@Wintermist Can you please link me to where you saw the information relating to Origin Access including all DLC for all games?

The only mention of DLC I see is as follows:

    What is Origin Access?

Glad you asked! Origin Access is a PC gaming subscription. Membership unlocks The Vault, a growing collection of great PC games you can download and play as much as you want. Plus, members get to try new EA games before they're released at no extra cost, and score an automatic 10% discount on Origin purchases, including full games, pre-orders, DLC, and FIFA points.

@EA_Darko The wording of what Origin Access Premiere is, says so. Words like: "unlimited access", "no gates - no barriers", and oh, again "full, unlimited access to our games".

It's all in your FAQ you know. I don't know how you speak to people, but when someone tells me things like that, it's literally also that. There is only one version of unlimited, etc.

@Wintermist As I said previously, there is only one mention of DLC in the FAQ and no where is it stated that all DLC will be included. If you are misreading or having an issue then we are happy to clarify it for you.

When unlimited it used it means that you have unlimited access to the games, so for example, if Sims 4 is what you are interested you will have unlimited access to The Sims 4 and the included DLC so long as you have an OAP membership. You will not have unlimited access to some of the additional DLC as they are not currently included nor is there anywhere in the FAQ stating that they are.

@EA_Darko Yeah I'm now fully aware of your intepretation of it. It's not important anymore regardless, I cancelled the subscription and had it refunded. I'm not interested anymore and quite frankly getting fed up with sales pitches not matching what you actually get. I don't want unlimited with limitations. Thanks for your time.

EDIT: The interesting thing was the customer support agent I was chatting with while getting the refund said it was actually a technical issue they was aware of and that all expansions was meant to be included. The person then asked me if I still wanted to get the refund, and I said yes because there has been so much conflicting information regarding this and I've run out of trust.

@Wintermist Sorry if you picked it up wrong but nowhere did the FAQ or any official source state that OAP would include all DLC for older games. Everything that the FAQ promised or mentions is a part of OAP and while I can understand why you are frustrated all aspects of OAP that were advertised are available now that it has launched.

@EA_Darko Just to be clear here though; The customer support agent handling my refund said that it was a techincal issue they're aware of and that all the expansions was meant to be included. And here we're told they're not included.

What is the actual confirmed truth regarding it?

@Wintermist Unfortunately that adviser was misinformed. The expansion packs that are currently available to members of OAP are the correct ones.

    Unlimited? No barriers?

And still i have to pay 26 € for the new Sims 4 DLC?

Sorry, i won't continue my premier membership.

  • "Full, unlimited access to our games"

There are multiple games on the store; Battlefield 1&5, Star Wars Battlefront 1&2, Titanfall 2, Mass Effect, Dragon Age. How comes all the DLC for these games are free and are included in the price while Sims 4 content isn't? Because EA is scared they will lose money? I'm unsure. Maybe change that.

"Full access to our games" - "Not including DLC for (Enter game). If you're seeling "Full, unlimited access" to your games I would expect everything that's related to that game; addons, dlc ect..

  • mass effect 3 one comes with one dlc on premier From Ashes. you have to pay $27 usd for the full game.

  • In the plan comparison when you go to buy/upgrade your plan, it says "Extra content included with new EA games." It doesn't say that all content is included, just that there will be some extras.

No sale, then.  Pity, seemed like a nice idea.

  • Because they DLCs are included with Deluxe edition. You don't get DLCs, you get Deluxe editions. If game's deluxe edition includes DLCs you get them, if not you don't get them. EA could probably include all Sims 4 DLCs and try to get more Sims players to subscribe instead of buy them seperately.

  • I have to concur. Im finding "premier" very bad value since you really are not getting much more than the basic. Sims DLC's as a subscription would make it worthwhile as there has not been a game released on Prem I have even wanted (ok wanted Anthem before it came out, but not after it came out because it was so bad would not have bought it). BTW the Sims 4 Deluxe is part of the BASIC package, theres no additional content by being Prem.

There is also not much on the horizon from EA thats interesting, I think Dragon Age is it. So most likely will be downgrading my sub to basic when this one runs out unless EA step up their game to include Sims 4 DLC's
