Harsh disagree man. Putting an option to disable diversity in your game is gross. IMO its comparable to having an option to disable dark skinned townies. Even from a gameplay standpoint, the Sims 4 only has options to disable things that actually affect your gameplay. If you don't use the custom pronoun settings it will literally never come up in your game.
- @CosmicBarby I totally agree with you, well said.
It's a tiny little box. Small enough to be ignored but big enough to mean that a whole group of players who have played for years, invested just as much time and money as everyone else but not seen themselves represented can now see just that if they want to. I mean, if they can create a mermaid then they should be able to create themselves.
It's progress and it's inclusive. But if people want to ignore it then they can easily do so. I ignore likes, I ignore lifestyles. I might not use this but I wholeheartedly respect it's purpose.
Play the way you want to. It's a choice and it's not forced on anyone.
Also let's all remember that the very players who have either waited so long for this change or just support it might very well be the same players that help others on this forum when their game is broken or support their suggestions for the game.
