Now that's THE answer, thanks. Before reading your reply, I figured quite radical version of what you said - deleting whole "documents/electronic arts/the sims 4" folder, works too.
@xPANICKx Try deleting Options.ini, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. Please check both this save and another new one.
If that doesn't help, move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and try a new save and this current one in the new folder the game creates.
