Sims wont work even though I deleted everything

I finally decided to try and get my sims to work after giving up on it ages ago but now it seems to be even worse. I deleted and redownloaded the whole game and packs, all the mods, the saves folder ...

ebokneesareweak   As it turns out, this is a known bug.  I deleted my earlier post as it no longer applies. 

rosemow has posted the correct report.  (Sorry, I got in a hurry and posted the wrong one.)
