Re: We Should be Able to Make Stray Animals

@SqueamishNerd Hi!  You can totally do this!  I just watched a tutorial on youtube called "How to make stray and wild animals  Sims 4: Cats and Dogs tutorial" by  youtuber "Seri! Pixel Biologist!".  Maybe search for that if you'd like a detailed walkthrough and want to try it yourself.

Basically you just need to create a household but at the "move in" screen you just cancel the move (click the x button next to "moving with..") which automatically sends the sims to the Other Households category.  This will cause the animals in the household to show up as strays in your game.  You do need to have a human sim, so you essentially create a new "townie" but you get your own strays so it might be worth it.  The video is a few years old so to make sure it still worked I tried it in my test save.  I created the Straykeeper household with human sim Curtis Straykeeper, cat sim Charlie, racoon sim Lucky and fox sim Todd.

After that, I took a played sim to Brindleton Bay's Bedlington Boathouse lot and panned my camera for a couple minutes and there was my Charlie cat.

I looked around a bit longer and didn't see the other animals but I'm guessing they would show up eventually.  Now the youtuber Seri brought in animals from the gallery but I just created mine in CAS.  Anyway, thanks for asking!  This is kind of a neat idea and I wouldn't have discovered it without your post <3

@JonaO703 Oh, I didn't know that it actually says "Stray" on animals without a house and with a sim in the household! That's neat! A bit tedious that we have to make a human sim for every 7 strays, but it's a nice workaround.
