Reaper's Rewards - Scare Seeker Lot Challenge does nothing?

Product: The Sims 4
Platform: Steam PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Unknown
What is your current game version number? 1.109.185.1030 DX11
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Activate the Scare Seeker lot challenge
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing happens, I think the lot challenge is supposed to do something
What do you expect to see? A spooky lot challenge of some kind idk
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? No
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Just making this bug report as I haven't had anything happen in relation to this lot challenge in my game for several hours since I unlocked and activated the trait. 

Does anyone know what the challenge is supposed to do?

    Oh, I found it! I had to click on the cup and then it showed up as an option.

    @iny1988 

    Yes, you do need to read the newsletter but you do not need to follow the two tutorials mentioned. You have tasks to plant an Apple and a cherry tree. If you do not know how to plant something you can follow that tutorial.

    @RebekyyI honestly got nothing. No visitors, no discernible moodlets. Having the lot challenge on seems to do nothing at all for me but my sister tried it and immediately got visitors but she is playing in windenberg and I’m playing in San sequoia with few neighbors so maybe that’s it? You need neighbors? Idk

    @Rebekyy I thought the trait was supposed to make my sims excited instead of scared, so can someone tell me why my sim is scared of thunderstorm?

    I play on PS5 and am doing the grim rewards. One of the tasks is to set the scare seeker lot challenge, I have done so. Nothing is happening, though. About once a day my sim will have a bored moodlet that says "not even one good scare" am I supposed to be doing something to trigger something scary? I tried removing and reapplying the challenge, as well as restarting my game. Any advice?

    I don't know what to expect from the Scare Seeker challenge. The ingame description really isn't very helpful. My experience with it so far has been the same as yours, nothing but a bored moodlet. I'm thinking it might be helpful to summon/invite Grim Reaper for a daily visit and/or start using the Scare interaction.

    So far nothing except the bored moodlet has happened for me either. So I added the Spooky lot challenge. It took a few (real world) days for a few ghosts to show up and now she suddenly is "scared" when they show up yet previously she didn't react to ghosts any differently than living sims. So... not sure what to make of it... but I've also been experiencing a bunch of glitches since the Grim Rewards event started. Kind of frustrating tbh...
