The Riviera Retreat cascades/waterfalls are not working. I have repaired the game twice, uninstalled and reinstalled the kit, and restarted the game multiple times. There are no mod issues. Is this a known bug? How do I fix it? I bought the kit specifically for these waterfalls. Thank you.

I downloaded the new Riviera Retreat pack, and the waterfalls in the game have no water effects Theyre just plain rocks. I have removed all my mods, repaired the game, and reinstalled the kit and the the issue remains.
There are 2 types of rocks that came with the kit. The rocks called Grotto Cascade are the ones with the waterfall feature.They are found in Outdoor Water Decor -Fountain decorations section
The other rocks without the waterfall feature are called Grotto Accent rocks.
You perhaps may be using the Grotto accent rocks instead of the Grotto Cascade ones?
Thanks for your response. I was using the ones specifically marked cascades from the pool/pond/fountain section. I read the descriptions as well to be positive. The fountain also does not work. There is no water movement at all from this kit. All of my other water features work normally. I own every expansion, pack, and kit and all the rest are fine.

Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.
In Walls down mode the big rock does indeed disappear. The small one are still there. in cut away and walls up the big one is visible and water flows for the small one this is true even in walls down view.
Thanks for the replies everyone! I had already moved the mods folder to desktop and deleted the localthumbcache.package before posting this inquiry. I can try it again. Normally I can problem solve issues pretty easily, but despite how often I have seen people complain about bugs in the Sims this is one of the first times in almost 10 years that I have run into one that annoyed me. I also ran Better Exceptions and a full mod scan. I'm guessing there is something that they aren't picking up.

I was having the same issue until I disabled my mods and cc. Not only did the waterfalls started working, but also the kit pop-up showed up for the first time along with the daily rewards thing. Try doing that, because now I have to check all my mods to see which ones are not working.
