Selling Food in Businesses & Hobbies

Hello,

I'm trying to run a cat cafe in the Sims 4 and the preset mentions eating food and drinking coffee, which you'd expect from a cat cafe.

But I saw that it just makes people use the appliances and make their own thing rather than order the items like in a normal cat cafe.

Is there a way to build it specifically that allows running like a normal one?

Currently there is a kitchen for employees only, and all I see is employees going to make food and drinks for themselves rather than making them for customers.

Do I have to make the food and drinks myself and put them in the sale shelves or is there something else I can do?

Yes you have to make the food and put in the shelves for customers, I think you can also have your employees make food without eating it but they will not put it on the shelves, theyll put it in a fridge (if there is one) or a counter/table (if there is no fridge) so youll still have to move it.

Also there is the new cafe counter, which sells coffee and tea, Im not sure if it also sells food but I think it does, just get an employee to manage it and the customers will order there.

I placed one of each counter that sells food and drinks, but I also wanted to sell proper meals in there. So I have to just make sure I cook them myself or an employee cooks them and then put them in the shelves myself?

Yes, either play as the owner and place the food on the shelves yourself (I also first have my sim "pick up serving" repeatedly to split it into individual servings), or if you want to be able to play as the customer, set it up buffet style - have an entrance fee, then just assign the employees to cook and let Sims who have paid the entrance fee help themselves from wherever it gets put down.
