Sim had babies one isn’t hers

Question

My sim had one baby in the hospital and one at home. The one from the hospital look nothing like either sim. And I got to name both babies. Now the baby from the hospital is an infant he doesn’t appear in the family relationship section but is part of the household. The parent can only read to him and when clicking on the ask to be introduced by it says ‘ you haven’t met the caregivers of this infant. Hey where are they anyways?” How do I add this infant or get my one back please help.

To be sure, both parents are not related to the baby ?
To be sure, they are from two different pregnancies ?
Are you using mods/cc ? What platform are you playing on ?

I’m playing on Xbox and I don’t use mods/cc.

They are from the same pregnancy born on the same day just a big time gap. Just thought my sim had put on weight and was in discomfort from having the first baby didn’t realise she was having twin.

The baby has no family in genealogy just its self.

Very strange. Usually twins are born right after each other. You aren't booted home in between so I'm guessing that's where the problem lies.
Why this happened, I don't know
It could be related to this issue: LE when giving birth/No baby | EA Forums - 11663244 but since you're on XBox there's no option to check the exception files.
