@Jahmes44 Are you using custom content or mods in your game ? If so, have you tried removing those ?
Try removing everything and see if it then works.

No mods or anything like that. The store is one I downloaded from the community however.

@Jahmes44 Check if a clean folder will fix it: Exit Sims 4 then drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop. Launch Sims 4 and reset your Options. Then check on a new save. If that works, you can copy your previous saves back into your new folder. (And Tray contents, etc.). If it doesn't, try a Game Repair in the EA App/Origin.
