Sims 4 Game Not Opening

Hi! So, I have a situation. Exactly 7 days ago, I was trying to the play Sims 4. I opened Origin to hit play and the icon bounced up and down like it normally would. I thought the game was opening but then a couple seconds later, the Origin game screen came back. In other words, the game wouldn't open. I tried different methods until I stumbled across one that said take the entire Sims 4 folder out of the Electronic Arts folder. So I did that and I put it in my desktop. The game worked perfectly. But then I lost my whole Sims 4 folder with all my mods that I play with. I was able to get my Sims folder back with no mods inside of it. Now the last couple of days, I have been trying to restore some of my mods that I had before. Now, Origin updated my Sims game due to the major update and I tried to open my game. It did not open and did the same thing it did 7 days ago. I repaired my game in Origin and tried everything but what I don't want to do is take my Sims 4 folder out again because I don't want to lose all my mods again. Please help me find a way to open the game without taking the folder out because I love the Sims and spent tons of money on it. I don't want to have to stop playing.

If the game works without your Mods then the issue is one or more of your Mods. 3rd party content must be compatible with the current patch level of the game. Mods can, and frequently do, break after the game is patched. Check with the creator.

To test the CC/Mods, move out your Mods folder to the desktop and trash the localthumbcache.package file. Start the game to check it will load then quit without saving. Move your CC back in in batches, loading the game after each batch to see if it still works. When it stops working you know there is dodgy CC in that last batch. Move out that batch and test each piece one by one until your game stops working again. It's laborious but the only way to check all your CC.
