Sims 4 jungle adventure activated relic being placed down

My sim placed an activated relic right in front of one of the paths you’re meant to clear and I can’t pick it back up. It says I don’t own the item. I also can’t delete it in build mode because it’s not on a lot. Now I can’t clear the path because the relic is in the way!
