Sims 4 Paranormal stuff not working

I downloaded Sims 4 paranormal stuff about a week ago— when it first downloaded it popped up the welcome screen asking if I wanted to live in a haunted house on a game that I have been playing for a while and I did not want to start the pack on that game. I created a new game turned the lot to a haunted residential as it doesn’t ask to place the haunted house again and have played several hours without the pop-up screen asking if I want to live in a haunted house... no ghosts, no specters & helping hand says unresponsive. I have no mods nor have I ever— I even uninstalled the game and reinstalled everything and it still does not work right please help.

    @GillianSurine 

    You can download that house from the Online Gallery if you like. It is currently featured on the main menu. Any house with the lot type Haunted Residential will work.

    It takes two days for Guidry to appear he does so at 9 PM and you must be at home. No specters will appear and the helping hand will not work before that visit. The Seance table however will work regardless so you can get Medium skills.

    @jpkarlsen Okay thanks. But I am also not getting the “welcome” menu pop up when moving into a haunted residential lot asking about living in it with the “what am I doing here” & “i can handle this” options for the hauntings to even start

    You already got it once you will not get it again. As I already wrote you must wait for Guidry.

    In my game there is no lot type for a haunted residential. How can I fix this?

    Im having the same issue. I do not have that option in the lot type menu. I have access to all the others but haunted is not appearing.

    @lizsmileey 

    Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game
    If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.
