Sims can't go to University of Britchester

Hi,

I've been trying to get my sims to go to the university of Britechester for days, but everytime I get past the enrollment and dorm choosing, the loading screen stays and never leaves.

I tried it with multiple gameplays, and my sims have no problem going to Foxbury University.

Please help!

@moinsdetreize  Yes, you'll need to test until you find the exact file(s) causing the issue.  Or, if this is a package of cc from one creator, you can see whether there's an updated version available.

If not, use the 50/50 method.  Split the batch in half and test it.  If the problem is gone, that half is safe; split the remaining files in half and test those.  If the first batch causes problems, split it in half again and test.  In this way, you can quickly narrow down the source of the issue.  If there is in fact only one problem file, you'll be able to find it in nine or ten tests.  But keep in mind that more than one might be broken, so make sure you do test the other half of whatever group you've just split before assuming it's fine.

  • @moinsdetreize Are you using mods/cc in your game ? If so, does it work without ?

If it does, you need to weed through your cc/mods to find the culprit.
  • Hi,

i do have mods and cc installed in my game.
last time I removed the folder and then put it back in, I had to redo all the CC on my characters by hand. Do I still need to remove the folder? Also, how do I find which CC is the one causing the problem?

    thank you!

@moinsdetreize  You'll only have to reapply the custom content if you save your progress after removing your mods and cc.  The goal here is to test, then quit without saving.  Alternately, you could make a backup of your Saves folder (inside Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4), experiment with your saves as much as you want, and then replace those saves with their backup copies when you're done.

The point is, there's probably some mod interfering with your sims' ability to enroll in the University of Britechester.  Test your mods and cc in batches, figure out which mod is causing the problem, remove or update it, and then continue playing.  You can keep the rest of your mods and cc.

I found which CC causes me the problem. Unfortunately, it’s in a folder with 600 items. Will I have to test multiple times with different batches of the CC?
