Sims4 and free download

Hello!Soo I downloaded Sims4 when it was for free  (that was before 28.5) and and it work perfect without any problems. Yesterday I came home from holidays and i tried to open Sims and it started to update and when i ended I was left with only trial instead of full game. I am interested to know if I am the only one.
