I have a wall of spandrels that have a frieze so it is pushing them down. I added a flat platform next to it and on one side it is making the spandrel ignore the frieze while its working fine on the ...
LizardWizard87 When it comes to spandrels, friezes and platforms, it seems anything can happen for no rhyme nor reason. It's just the quirks of the build system. I agree with you about it shouldn't happen but things like this do. From what I can see in your pics, the platforms don't really seem to serve a purpose so you could either leave them out altogether or make those sections part of the foundation. What I think is going on is that the spandrel/frieze thinks the platform is higher than the foundation on that side for some reason. So, changing those 2 little sections might be enough to make the spandrel/frieze look the same. I have no idea if doing so will actually work but it's worth a shot if you haven't tried that yet. And, if you would like, I am willing to take a look at the lot to see if I can find a way to make it work. All you need to do is upload the lot to the Gallery and reply here with the lot name and your userid if different than the one you use here (LizardWizard87)
I'm basing the build on an image which has raised planter boxes which is why I wanted the platforms. I know I could just use fences which is what I had originally but I would prefer the raised beds. Friezes have been known to be finicky I just thought it was weird it works on one side and not the other and if it was a common issue with some weird fix.
Here's the image I'm using so you can see what I'm talking about. I have uploaded it to the gallery as well- same gallery ID as username. I do have a lot of cc already on it, the spandrels and columns are Valia Mediterranean. I also have Valia x Lukheya Nixta, Valia charmed windows, Felixandre estate and chateau, Pierisim Domaine du clos and Harrie Delsol. I'm not sure how much it matters to have it downloaded to place the lot or if I'm forgetting anything.
