I just beat the mother two days ago. I had no problem. I only had one vaccine to throw at it too. Not sure if it’s just luck or what. But I also had almost maxed out relationships with the three sims I had fighting with me. So maybe that has something to do with it? I also didn’t take any breaks or stand down or whatever. Like the other commenter said I just go hard and fast at it.
So, I replayed the boss fight in Strangerville last night. Rather than using cured townies, I used my Sim's three housemates, so they had a high relationship.
Going in fast and hard did seem to be the best strategy again, and I defeated Mother on the first try. I only had one vaccine to throw at her and I did that as the first action, and then it was CHARGE CHARGE CHARGE!!!
