Today's update: Game loaded directly into a family I've not played in eons

After the double bugged update this morning, having to clear the EA app cache which uninstalled my game, reinstalling (no mods), the game went from the main menu where I selected "Load Game", not "Resume". Previously "Resume" would go to the last played household. Did the game resort to a months old, not recently played household because of the cache clearing?

    crinrict​ , Greetings. 
    Nope. I have OneDrive disabled for Sims files. So weird. It is a household I never "played". Built a lot and from the neighborhood view, moved in Sims from household inventory.

    Is it just that it loaded into that household or did you loose actual progress ?

    crinrict​ , I was loading the game to start the event so no progress had been made yet. Another note: When I switched to a played household, the event quest was not triggered (no tasks). Back to the original household and then quest began.

    Weird. 

    Does it happen each time now or was it a one time thing ?
