Toddlers very sad for 2 days for nothing?!

@Lailantieit is a known fact that whenever a sim dies on a lot (household, bar, park etc) the mood of every sim in that place will be influenced by the event. As I stated in my earlier post, mood influencing objects can push these sad emotions further back so the sad emotions will not have such a strong influence.
As you have experienced with your toddlers. This can be a sim-life changing event.
I never used potions on toddlers so I won't be able to state that they can or can not take them. I thought that adult sims could always give toddler sims food and drinks from their inventory. I know that toddlers themselves can't buy any rewards and that their aspiration points only come available when they age up to kids. But i think that an adult or even a kid can give a toddler something to eat or to drink. The toddler will, most of the time, happily take it. I think the option would have been to let an adult buy this potion and feed it to the toddler.
I hope this option is possible and will prevent such a behavior in the future.
I will gladly test this option in one of my saves.
If or when the behavior and traits of the now teenagers, you play at this moment bothers you or hinders you to play the game, you can always try to cheat these traits away.

@TrismagistosThank you for your reply 🙂 If an adult buys the potion and gives it to the toddler to drink, the toddler can't drink it. Most possibly toddlers can only drink from toddler bottles ☹️
Unfortunately what I've noticed even if they didn't witness it they still become sad because everyone else is. But sims tend to recycle the moods if they gain a hurt sentiment because they are close to the others in the house. Which is most likely which would keep them sad for two days. Because they are feeling hurt their family are sad of the death but they should offer some sort of reward store purchase to clear those for toddlers. But since toddlers were never part of the original base game their still working on it.
