Weird Weather Bug in Britechester

I've been playing with a household of university students, and up until a few weeks ago, I've had no glitches.

Last week, I noticed that the weather in Britechester stays cloudy. I used cheats to try to change the weather, and the temperature would change, but the cloudiness would stay the same. This doesn't happen in any other worlds.

I play with a few mods, but I made a separate save file and the weather in Britechester worked fine in the new save.

Has this happened to anyone else? Was it a mod that was causing the issue?

Hi, Thanks so much for the reply!

Hope fully the weather will eventually change naturally.

It's only that using cheats to change the weather will work in other worlds, so they should be working in Britechester as well.

I even used the weather machine to change the weather to sunny, it said it was successful, but the clouds never went away.

I'll keep watching the weather to see if it changes on its own.

  • Ayannaroqs  Tbh, that sounds like normal weather for the game.  The game generates random weather in each world.  So, the weather changes from year (1 yr= 4 seasons) to year.  Sometimes it can get a bit extreme as well.  A few rl years ago, I had a stretch where it rained or T-stormed for 42 out of 44 days (mid spring -mid fall) in Brindleton Bay.  Talk about depressing!  One year, you get blizzards all winter and the next hardly any snow at all.  So, bottom line is that the weather in Sims 4 basically mimics rl weather to the point that you never know what the weather is going to be at any time.  So, just keep playing.  Sooner or later the weather will change.

    Hope this helps.
