Any recommendations for mods or cautionary tales about crazy stuff happening?
For the sake of immersion, I'd rather have all sims strictly tied to their homeworlds than roam around in any world even though some of them would make sense to be sort of "neighbouring" worlds like Willow creek and Newcrest for example. But I hate it when people from Mt. Komorebi are suddenly in Strangerville, Sulani sims casually strolling in Windenburg etc..
There's a mod that I think will help you! You should check out Zer0. They have a series of mods called "Walkby" mods which prevent, for example, someone from Sulani appearing in Mount Komorebi.

Link got removed. Search up "sims 4 zero mods and comics" and their Patreon should appear somewhere. They have recently done a mod overhaul updating most of their mods to make them work with one of the recent updates that broke many mods.
Click to view all of their posts then find "Non occult cc" which should be one of shortcut options at the top of the page. Click on that and scroll down until you find "BG Walkby Overhaul"
This is the mod I'm talking about.
They create a lot of great game changing (and frankly game improving) mods, including immersive vampires and vampiric magic as well as fixes for many annoyances in the game. Their mods are definitely worth looking deeper into.
Yeah, definitely! Of course today is patch day so I'll have to be a little patient before more mod shopping.. :D Nevertheless I'm excited for the Spa day refresh but it'll have to wait until modders can screen their mods and see what needs to be updated.. But at least I could try the walkby overhaul before updating since it's still on the previous game version..? 🤔 Goodbye Sulani sims in Henford-on-Bagley! 👮
Yeah that must be annoying. People from a town based off of the English countryside randomly appearing abroad in a hawaiian styled sunny island. Agnes Crumplebottom just decided to book a flight to hop over to sulani for a quick dip in the sea.
Never really felt the strangeness of it until I recently bought Island Living and my sim, who lives in San myshuno, just went to do a day's work on the beaches of sulani cleaning trash.
