Will the Sims 4 run on this PC?
Hi all,
looking for some help as I am new to this. I did post a thread but I am not sure if it has been removed. If it is a duplicate I am sorry!
the last time I played The Sims on PC was in the 2000’s where you did not need specific PC’s as such to do it.
I am not in the marked for a gaming PC, maybe some expansions and CC but not looking for the best graphics, just something that is playable! I want the PC to be able to do basic things but not for another game. I am in the UK and looking to buy from curry’s or Argos as they are trusted. Budget of around £500. This is the one I have found and am hoping to get but do not want to waste the money if it will not work.

@amelliaviolet All-in-one desktops are basically laptops without the portability and with a larger screen. They often have exactly the same hardware, they're just as difficult to upgrade, and they can have similar issues with cooling. As far as the hardware itself goes, the same information applies. The problem is that there aren't nearly as many options for All-in-one models as there are for laptops.
If you'd be willing to upgrade the RAM yourself, this is the best option I can find right now, from Lenovo's own site. It has only 4 GB RAM, but a matching module might cost £20; an 8 GB stick might be £30. So for £510, it would still be a good deal. It also has the same AMD processor and graphics chip as is in the first laptops I recommended.
This page lists U.S. prices, but it's for the same model (you can see the model number in the link above), and it says that the computer comes with two RAM slots; this particular site has a reputation for being highly accurate.

If you really don't want to go through the trouble, the next cheapest decent option I can see is this one, for £520. To be clear though, its processor is weaker and its graphics chip significantly slower than the one above. It also has only a mechanical hard drive, so everything including Windows would run much more slowly.
This one, for £550, is a bit better:
and this one (£580) has the last-gen Ryzen processor I mentioned before:

Beyond that, you'd need to go to £600 to see anything equivalent to the Lenovo above, although those models wouldn't require a RAM upgrade.
