I'd enjoy that... As long as it isn't bogged down with a constant reliance on reaching fame. Since they usually introduce a new neighborhood in a EP, I'm not sure what other career could work. Honestly, I wouldn't want a new career, as I agree with @BrooklynHill.
Maybe add less popular instruments, like the Tuba, Trumpet, Clarinet, Harmonica, or even the Accordion. And more focus on street performances (new styles) or graffiti artists in a entirely new city, perhaps similar to Detroit. I'd love to have some place urban for my sims to go without DL a bunch of CC.
