A Change to Toddlers

Unfortunately, that's been a glitch for some time now. However, I find when I get the parent sim to cook a meal for 4 & put it into the toddlers personal inventory, the toddler can feed her/himself.

Thanks for that tip, I will try it.

Fruits and veggies work too for the inventory because they never spoil. I'll just have my kids eat like 4 pears or whatever and they're good for a bit :)

The Get to Work bakery freezer a friend recommended to keep food fresh for toddlers too.

I've realized realm of magic packs real purpose and it is to cast delicioso in front of my toddlers to feed them

so simple
so efficient
can be done mid other activities
don't even need to choose the food
or be anywhere near the toddler

I do something similar. Depending on the size of the household my sim prepares 4 or 8 portions. However I don't place the meal in their inventory, just on a counter or table. Toddlers are able to grab a plate from a counter.

Like @Atreya33 I just leave multi-meals on the counter and they go grab. Where a household has a toddler 'thing' I will usually add a living chair, such as the cushions or stool, to the dining room (or a living chair that resembles a dining chair) so that they can grab their meal and at least sit in the same room as the rest of the family to eat it.

I despise those high chairs, I swear my toddlers would starve to death if I depended on them, that is if Social Services didn't take them away first!

You don't have to place the food in the toddler's inventory. They are capable of grabbing food from a counter/table, etc.

The AI with toddlers in TS4 is god awful. The game will tell all sims on the lot to go after the toddler when it needs something which causes sims to get stuck and bug out since more than one sim will try to do the same thing at the same time. Even when the toddler is already in the high chair sims will attempt to take it out and then put them back in to feed them. High chairs and toddlers are extremely buggy.
