A question about the Sage Estates neighbourhood

I'm thinking of moving one of my households to the Sage Estates neighbourhood in Willow Creek (Probably the Umbrage Manor lot, though I might move out the Kim-Lewises and move into Cypress Terrace).

The household I'm thinking of moving there currently lives in Forgotten Hollow, and my main reason for moving them is due to FH getting hardly and pedestrian sim traffic; it feels isolated and I don't like it, so, I have a question for those of you who have households living in the Sage Estates neighbourhood; how much pedestrian sim traffic do you get there?

Does it feel like a lively, vibrant place where sims stop and chat to each other, or is it move quiet like FH?

Do you see sims fishing there, or barbequing in the communal areas?
  • From my experience the sim traffic isn't much better then forgotten hollow. I think it's because the hood itself looks pretty private/isolated. I would go for the hood with the Goths, the one with the Travis, Liberty, and Summer, or the one with the Pancakes as all those get a good amount of sim traffic.
  • It's kind of quite in that neighborhood. I've had a couple of different households living in the area. You will see a sim here and there passing through, but no one is stopping and chatting with each other. Most of the time it was the same four sims, the mail carrier being one of them.
  • Thank you both for your feedback. :)
It would be tricky moving them elsewhere in WC; the Courtyard lane neighbourhood is full up with my other played households, the Foundry Cove neighbourhood I've turned into community lots and I've tried having them live in the Pendula View neighbourhood before but it never really worked out.
The other lot I was considering was Tail's End in the Whiskerman's Wharf neighbourhood of Brindleton Bay, as it is beautiful there, though I hear in rain a LOT in BB so I'll have to give this some more thought.

How about one of the hoods in Windenberg?

I thought of that but the lot sizes (in the bit of WB I like) aren't right. All my other sims are in WC, and part of me wants all of them there.
  • Since I don't know how to post on the form I'm just going to ask my question here (sorry in advance) are their any mods the would customly give npcs better outfits?
  • Could you maybe move them to Newcrest? I always imagine it as being an extended part of Willow Creek and the two main neighborhoods (the one with the large lot and the one with the pond) are quite active with sims. Alternatively and a bit stranger there's also Magnolia Promenade. You'll get the occasional odd costumed walk-by (which you may be able to turn off if you have MCCC I've never looked into it) but I had a sim live there once and it was surprisingly active with sims and it also looks and feels like an extension of Willow Creek. I wouldn't recommend MP for a collector sim as there isn't a whole lot of collection spots but other then that it's a nice little neighborhood that can be fun in the right circumstances.

They did live in Newcrest briefly, but it was a bit boring; I rotate between 5 households and the other 4 are settled in WC - putting the 5th household in Newcrest meant they were either in a neighbourhood by themselves or surrounded by community lots, neither of which felt right.

All my households have pets, but this particular household has 2 cats, which could be an advantage for living in BB if the weather is inclement as I've heard, as it wouldn't matter about it raining so much if there are no dogs that need to be walked.
I'm going to try putting them in BB and see how it goes.
