Abandoned Food In The Dorm? [Discover University]

So pretty much every in-game day one of the other sims living in the briny tower at Foxbury brings a big plate of food. There are no kitchens or fridges anywhere on campus so I don't know where it cam...

I was wondering why these two Sims kept making food appear. I thought maybe it was supposed to be like they were going to visit their parents and their parents were sending plates of food home for the whole dorm.
Also speaking of the hidden roommate traits I also have one who whenever my Sim travels somewhere he invites himself along. I usually try to ditch him and go to another location.
