Alien Vampire?

technically, they aren't supposed to happen. they might muck up the inner-workings of CAS but I do like these unintended hybrids. I think it makes sense that the alien would "pull on" some of the err incubator's DNA bits and thus influence its development. especially if they're a vampire! that's a unique parent if I ever saw one. I ended up with a half-alien/full vampire by accident but I've kept him as is just to spice things up. plus I like keeping whatever the game throws at me most the time.

Well, since you're the only response I got @littlemissgogo I decided to keep him as is. When he aged up, it appeared as if his full alien form was his "dark form", complete with some creepy vampire features.https://i.imgur.com/SQj2zqn.png
His "disguise" was, um...not a very good one, lol. He was wearing regular clothes, and had hair, but, still had alien skintone and pointy ears and such. I made him over a little, but I kept the skin tone he came with, just got rid of the ears, changed his outfit, and gave him a cuter haircut (same hair color tho). I was pretty pleased with how he turned out, actually. he has the mixology aspiration, so I was getting a kick out of him doing bar trick in front of a mirror with no reflection :-P

Unfortunately, I play rotationally, and when I logged back in both forms were just his full alien look, no difference between them at all. I'd make him over again, but I've a feeling nothing will stick--nothing has so far. From toddler on haven't been able to dress him at all. Ah well, I guess he's still cute, hahaha.

Yes, he is full vampire and alien, has vampire needs and can gain vampire rank, but he has alien powers too already, so some of the vamp powers seem kinda redundant, lol. Needs to drink plasma tho, and burns in sunlight. https://i.imgur.com/sgxk5m1.png

I have hybrids running around in my game too, but it's different I think since hybrids have no "disguise". Clearly that's where this issue is--dark form or disguise?? Game doesn't know how to cope! I use MCCC so I could either de-alien or un-vampirize him pretty easy if I wanted. I dunno tho, I've kinda gotten used to him as the weirdo he is :-P.

Very interesting! Thank you for the info! I wonder what "fully functional" means, haha. Right now, my vampire/aliens appear to have full vampire and alien powers--it's just the disguise/dark form CAS stuff that's messed up, which makes sense if they were never really intended. I've noticed upon further inspection that the spot where there'd be an alien or vampire icon over their traits is blank. Also, not only does any outfits or CAS modifictations I make not stick (they revert literally as soon as I exit CAS), but a couple of times when I log in, they're just randomly wearing different outfits! Not any picked, and not one's they were wearing before. Basically, it's a constant surprise :-P

Anyway, aside form the CAS stuff, they're doing pretty good. The recent abduction did result in another pregnancy--twins, in fact! Only one of them is a vampire too tho, so we now have a household of two vampires, one alien, and three alien/vampires :-D

quick edit: btw, I uploaded the main household to gallery, so if anyone else wants to experiement with the alien vampires, see what they can find out, I'd be very interested in any results!

how curious! I haven't ran into any issues yet with my hybrid but he's still a child right now. I suppose he's a more natural one (half-alien vampire) as opposed to yours who is recognized by the game as both a full alien and a full vampire. I dunno how you'd remove the alien lifestate from him so I guess if you wanted to make better use of him you'd have to cure him of his vampirism. does he have the normal needs or the vampire-specific needs?

I've had one of my male vampires get abducted but never impregnated only human sims though sometimes they don't.

he's definitely a unique sim! if you're not bothered by his hmm quirks we'll say, then definitely keep him as-is! otherwise I'd maybe try to keep an alien appearance while remaining a vampire so he mostly looks the part of being both. it'll be fun to see how many of these special sims you end up with in one house!

Yeah, I do wish I could control the CAS, lol. And I'm honestly a little scared about being overrun by little blood-sucking aliens, but oh well ;-D

Has anyone ever turned a full alien into a vampire? I'm curious about that now. It really doesn't seem like the game was prepared for this eventuality, lol.

You can't turn a full alien. You can drink from aliens, but there never is an option to turn him/her. There also is no option for a full alien to ask to be turned.
