Even then though...earning ad revenue from the game is a similar set up. The youtube creator is using the game to express their creativity...and earning money from it...except in that context its allowed. I understand legally its different, but its very similar in principle. Frankly, mods are more entertaining than watching a video...I don't think I'm alone in feeling like without mods I'd have gotten fed up with the game.

I have never paid to watch a Let's Play on YouTube or Twitch. The ads pay the creators! YouTube can be ad free if you pay a premium. I thought Twitch was free and subs were optional!

TOS means Terms Of Service.

TOS means Terms of Service (TOSLink is something else). And I should have been clearer. You can make money from let's plays, whether its streaming on Twitch, ad revenue on Youtube or a Patreon.
