Anonymous Follower in the Gallery?

Reading my own post from approx. 4 months ago, I now have like 55 followers, seems I'm doing well :) (I think it's now 2/3rds of them that are anonymous though ;))

Please help I have got 9 anonymous follower I am so scared

Let's report that to Origin

Those are your fans. Simmers are allowed to be anonymous on Origin. They can't do anything to you. All they're doing is seeing in-game when you post stuff to the Gallery. If that's an issue for you, don't post to the public Gallery.

About 2/3 of my followers are Anon, and there have been no problems. Why would you be scared?

I AM anonymous. No, seriously. I have my private setting turned all the way up to Paranoia +11. I might follow contributors that I like, but they can't see who I am.

Sage: I had no Anonymous followers until I uploaded certain rooms to the Gallery. Then I started seeing Anonymous players following me. Along with a barrage of insults, harassments and demands. I discovered a community in the Gallery lead by one player who has made up their own rules about Sims4 gameplay and how players are to use 'their' Gallery. They do not play by the EA Rules of Conduct or follow the User License Agreement. They have made up their own rules and bully, harass and insult players to make them "play ball" their way. An Anonymous account is a way for them to "monitor" your activity in the Gallery. Yes, these players need serious psychiatric help! There may be a few players who use this honestly, these players don't.

I am not paranoid. But I also feel that it is a violation of player gaming rights and it should be stopped. It's stalking and interfering with a players game, and its just wrong! Just saying......

I find the anonymous follower creepy. I can't understand if you like someone's builds (in general) why anyone would remain anonymous unless some want to borrow their ideas. I would like to know who follows me as I have a few of those.

@BrokenSafetyPins @Cinebar - If you are invisible through Origin, then that extends to the Gallery. I became anonymous after my Origins account was hacked and over $400 worth of games were purchased with my credit card. No one NEEDS to see who I am. If I like a person's uploads, I'll often comment. I have uploads too and nearly all of my followers are anon. I don't take it personally, because I know there are plenty of reasons why people do it. EA might also make minors appear anonymous as well, if they are under 13.

omg, I am always invisible and I'm anonymous to other players who I follow? Thanks for correcting me, I didn't know that was the reason. I just thought It was people who didn't want to be known. I stay invisible because I don't want to talk. lol
