Another use for rentals?!

I thought of another use for rentals in any world.

You can build a party destination and include a bedroom. Your Sims can then rent it for a couple of nights, host their party/wedding/whatever, and then go home. You won't have to worry about buying all the stuff needed or worry that your house is too small. You can even hire a one-time maid to help with the cleanup.

I'm currently converting Oakenstead (the mansion on the 50x50 lot in Willow Creek) to a party center; once I get it done I'll playtest it to see if it works. If it does, I plan to do something similar in Sulani on the 50x50 that's on the beach (or rather I'll scour the Gallery to find a suitable lot to convert). B)

  • That's so cool. Unfortunately, I'd have to start a brand new game save, or upload that lot to my library. In my current game save it's gone. I replaced it with Erik Cantrell's mansion. Recently, I placed his mansion on a much larger lot 64 X 64 in Windenburg and moved my family there. Then I bulldozed the earlier version of his house. No sense in having it in two different towns, right?
  • Yes, that's what I thought too. Especially good for weddings. You can send your bride and groom there early, prepare everything for a party, bake a cake, etc. And after a wedding even stay for a honeymoon.
I've started building a wedding rental on a 64x64 lot in Brindleton Bay, but now I'm not sure I'll finish it... ?
But yeah it works, I've tested. You can have parties and weddings while on vacation in normal worlds.

Once I've playtested to make sure I didn't make any major goofs, I'll upload it to the Gallery. :)
  • You could take several sim friends with you on the vacation, to hopefully make the party bigger.
